Deadly Shooting at School in Canada : 10 Killed, Including Shooter
Ten people, including the suspected shooter, have died after a gunman opened fire at a high school in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, on Tuesday. Authorities describe this as one of the deadliest mass casualty events in recent Canadian history. Police say the shooter, reported to be female, is also deceased.
Six victims were found inside the school, while two more were discovered at a nearby residence connected to the incident. Another person died on the way to the hospital, and more than two dozen others were injured. Authorities confirmed there are no additional suspects or ongoing threats.
The attack, a type of mass shooting more commonly seen in the United States, has left the local community in shock. Emergency responders evacuated students and staff safely, and hospitals continue to treat the injured. Authorities are investigating the motive behind the tragic event.
