Israeli Strike Kills Two Near Maghazi Camp Amid Ongoing Ceasefire Violations

Two Palestinians were killed early Friday in an Israeli attack east of the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, despite the area having been vacated by Israeli forces under a ceasefire agreement, according to medical sources.

The victims were identified as Yasser Mohammed Abu Shahada (21) and Walid Hassan Darwish (20). Medical officials said their bodies were transferred to Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah after an Israeli strike hit the area east of the camp.

Witnesses reported that an Israeli drone targeted a civilian gathering near the Abu Namous roundabout in the early morning hours, killing the two men in a zone from which Israeli troops had withdrawn as part of the ceasefire.

The killings come amid near-daily Israeli violations since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, including shelling and gunfire that have left 492 Palestinians dead and 1,356 wounded, according to local sources.

In separate incidents, witnesses said Israeli military vehicles and helicopters opened heavy, indiscriminate fire east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, in areas under Israeli control.

Israeli fighter jets also carried out multiple airstrikes in Israeli-controlled zones of Rafah, while intense and random gunfire targeted western parts of the city.
