T20 World Cup 2026: India, Sri Lanka to Host 20-Team Cricket Extravaganza
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is set to light up the cricketing calendar from February 7 to March 8, with India and Sri Lanka co-hosting the marquee tournament. The 10th edition of the event will feature 20 teams, battling it out across iconic venues over a four-week spectacle.
Defending champions India headline a star-studded lineup that includes former winners West Indies, England, Australia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, alongside full members South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Ireland. Associate nations USA, Namibia, Netherlands, Oman, Italy, Scotland, Nepal, UAE and Canada will also look to make a strong impression on the global stage.
The teams are divided into four groups of five, with the top two from each group progressing to the Super 8s. From there, the leading sides will advance to the semi-finals, culminating in the grand final on March 8.
Matches in India will be played across Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Chennai, while Colombo and Pallekele will host fixtures in Sri Lanka.
