Google Pixel 10a Teased: A 15-Second Reveal That Leaves Plenty Unsaid
Google has officially teased the Pixel 10a, but the 15-second reveal offers more mystery than detail.
The short video, published by Made by Google on February 4, confirms the phone’s existence and announces that pre-orders will open on February 18. Beyond that, Google keeps its cards close to its chest, sharing little about specs, pricing, or new features.
What the teaser does reveal is a refined design. The Pixel 10a appears to ditch the raised camera bump seen on earlier models, replacing it with a flatter camera system that had already surfaced in leaks. The phone shown sports a soft blue finish, which may be the previously rumoured Lavender colour.
Earlier leaks suggested the Pixel 10a would arrive in four colour options: Obsidian, Berry, Fog, and Lavender. A Berry variant has also been tipped, hinting that the teaser may represent just one of several finishes.
With no mention of performance upgrades or software enhancements, attention now turns to the February 18 reveal. Reports have pointed to Google’s Tensor G4 chipset, but beyond that, details remain scarce.
The Pixel 10a follows in the footsteps of the Pixel 9a, which was praised as a standout entry-level phone thanks to its premium design, bright display, excellent camera performance, and long battery life. Affordable access to Google Gemini AI and seven years of software updates also made it a strong long-term option.
As one reviewer put it: “You don’t need to spend big bucks to get a premium phone experience.” Google will need to show how the Pixel 10a builds on that promise when it fully unveils the device later this month.
