Oppo’s Next Flagship Could Go All-In on Cameras With Dual 200MP Sensors
Oppo appears to be preparing a serious leap forward in smartphone photography with its next flagship device. Although the Oppo Find X10 Pro is still more than six months away from launch, early leaks are already shedding light on what could be one of the most ambitious camera phones to date.
According to new rumors, the Find X10 Pro will feature not one but two 200-megapixel rear camera sensors. One of these will power the main wide-angle camera, while the second will be dedicated to the telephoto lens. Both sensors are said to measure 1/1.3 inches—just slightly smaller than the highly sought-after 1-inch sensor size used in some premium camera phones.
The information comes from well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared the details on Weibo. If accurate, Oppo is positioning the Find X10 Pro as a true camera-centric flagship.
For context, last year’s Oppo Find X9 Pro already impressed with its camera hardware. It launched with a 50MP wide-angle camera using a 1/1.3-inch sensor, delivering strong image quality. The rumored jump to 200MP on the Find X10 Pro could significantly boost image detail, although improvements in low-light performance may be more modest due to similar sensor size.
The more notable upgrade appears to be in the telephoto department. While the Find X9 Pro already includes a 200MP zoom camera, it relies on a smaller 1/1.56-inch sensor. Moving to a larger 1/1.3-inch sensor would allow more light to reach the pixels, potentially resulting in better zoom performance and improved low-light photography—assuming the resolution remains unchanged.
If these leaks prove accurate, the Oppo Find X10 Pro could set a new benchmark for mobile camera hardware and further intensify the race for smartphone photography dominance.
