Shoaib Malik announces retirement from PSL
In a statement released on his social media account, Shoaib Malik said that I have enjoyed every moment on and off the field in my 10-year PSL career, now it is time for me to end this journey here.
Shoaib Malik said that my services will always be available in the future for the betterment of cricket.
It should be noted that Shoaib Malik had announced his retirement from Test cricket in 2015 and ODI cricket in 2019, while he did not formally announce his retirement from T20 Internationals. However, the 44-year-old all-rounder has not represented the national team since 2021, but he has been playing PSL and other T20 leagues.
Shoaib Malik has played all 10 seasons of PSL so far. He represented 4 teams in the PSL: Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, and Quetta Gladiators. He played his last season for Quetta Gladiators in 2025.
