Pakistani Kabaddi player takes to the field carrying Indian team flag

The General Council of the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation has called an emergency meeting on the issue of Pakistani Kabaddi player Ubaidullah playing for the Indian team, wearing a shirt and hoisting the Indian flag.
Federation Secretary Rana Sarwar said that Chairman Chaudhry Shafi Hussain has called a meeting on December 27. 16 Pakistani players participated in the tournament in Bahrain. This was not the national team of Pakistan and neither permission was sought for it, nor were NOCs issued to these players.
The Federation Secretary said that this was a self-made team in which the name of Pakistan was used. Neither permission was sought from the government nor was the federation informed to participate in the event.
Rana Sarwar said that it is unacceptable for a national player to play for the Indian team and wave the flag. The matter will be investigated and strict action will be taken. Action will also be taken against self-proclaimed promoters. No one will be allowed to hold an illegal event. He added that under no circumstances will the name of Pakistan be allowed to be defamed. Players from many countries play together in clubs. Playing for a foreign team and waving the flag is regrettable.
