South Africa announces squad for T20 World Cup, key players fail to make it
Aiden Markram will lead the South African team in the T20 World Cup to be played in India and Sri Lanka in February.
Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, who was out of the field for about 10 weeks due to injury, has returned to the squad.
Regular South African team member Tristan Stubbs could not make it to the team for the World Cup.

The South African squad includes Aiden Markram (captain), Quinton de Kock, David Miller, Keshav Maharaj, Marco Janssen, Enrique Nokia, Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada, Dewald Brewers, Tony de Zorzi, Jason Smith, Corbin Bosh, Koena Mafaka, George Linde and Donovan Ferreira.
Seven players in the squad will be playing the T20 World Cup for the first time.
It should be noted that the ICC T20 World Cup will begin on February 7. South Africa is in Group D of the event.
