Technology giant Apple has chosen Google’s Gemini to power its artificial intelligence features.
The announcement of a multi-year partnership is another blow to ChatGPT creator OpenAI, with which the app is currently partnering to enhance Siri’s capabilities.
The new deal comes ahead of Apple’s much-anticipated announcement on Apple Intelligence.
After careful analysis, Apple has determined that Google’s AI technology provides the most capable foundation for Apple Foundation models, the companies said in a joint statement.
The statement added that Apple Intelligence will continue to run on Apple devices and private cloud computing while maintaining Apple’s privacy standards.
