Government announces launch of 5G services in Pakistan soon

IT Minister Shaza Fatima, while holding a press conference with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, said that 5G will be introduced in Pakistan soon, and all the processes will be completed in the next 4 to 6 months.
Shiza Fatima said that the Internet is the basis of the entire digital system, along with the speed of the Internet, its access will also be increased.
IT Minister Shiza Fatima said that they are going to auction 600 MHz spectrum, and efforts are being made to complete the auction in the first week of February 2026.
In addition, she said that the recommendations of the Spectrum Advisory Committee will be taken to the cabinet soon, and consultation with other parties including the telecom sector will be ensured.
